How to set up FreedomPay account?

Below are the steps to ensure a smooth process to have all sEATz transitions deposited into your desired bank account. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Timeline

The timeline from FreedomPay receiving the correct information to sEATz production testing is estimated at 3 to 6 weeks.

Steps in the process

If your company has an existing FreedomPay account the process is very simple. Just reach out to your FreedomPay representative and they will facilitate this process. 

If your company doesn't have an existing FreedomPay account, no worries just follow the below steps to ensure a smooth onboarding process.  

These steps were developed to minimize timeline of implementation and increase success rate through the testing process.

  1. Information to ensure smooth setup process
    1. Company Name
    2. Federal Tax ID
    3. Tax Status (Partnership, Corporation, LLC, etc)
    4. Payment Preference (CC on file or ACH)
    5. DBA Name
    6. Company Address
    7. Phone Number
    8. Name & email of person who will be the Enterprise Portal Administrator.
      1. This person will have access to all FreedomPay credit card transaction information, reports, etc.
    9. Two (2) VAR/Tear Sheets for the Clients current credit card processor MID (Merchant ID) account
      1. 1 VAR/Tear sheet for Card not present terminal
      2. 1 VAR/Tear sheet for Card present terminal
    10. The above information will be inputted into the FreedomPay Switching Request Form
  2. FreedomPay gets forms and runs a validation
  3. FreedomPay send credentials back to client
  4. Client sends FreedomPay credentials to sEATz
  5. sEATz performs production testing

Glossary

VAR Sheet (Value Added Reseller) – file containing information, such as merchant account information, bank account information, processor information, etc. This file allows for communication between the gateway and the merchant account provider.

Switching Request Form – each processor will have a unique switching request form that must be requested from FreedomPay. This form will be diving into what types of cards will be accepted, client information including Federal Tax Id, DBA to show up on the end customers credit card statement, etc…

sEATz will also be providing insight on how to fill out the switching request form to reduce timeline and make this process as easy as possible.

Token Share Group

To deliver the best fan experience, we have create a token share group within FreedomPay so the fan will only enter their payment information the first time they check out.

Details

On the switching request form there will be general information to be filled out:

  • Card information – All checked ‘Yes’
  • E-Commerce – All checked ‘Yes’
  • Integration – All 'Direct to Freeway'
  • Number of Workstations – 1
  • POS Type – e-commerce
  • Go Live Date – the date you submitted the form

Mapping

You will need to map your new account in the FreedomPay portal. Once this is completed you will be able to see all the transactions funneled to your processor account.

To complete this process, navigate to

  1. "Administration" -> "Enterprise Management"
  2. Click the "Map Stores" button. You will see the unmapped stores. 
  3. Click the checkbox next to the store
  4. Drag and drop it onto the tree node on the left side titled "Tier 4" then click "Ok"
Now under the transactions page, all transactions will be displayed and can be found using the search function. Here is a video FreedomPay created to walk through the process.
